10 of the best Android apps for drawing, painting and sketching
While some mobile users are privileged when it comes to sketching, drawing and painting (owners of Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones and tablets are certainly included here), pretty much anyone can create art on their Android device - assuming they have talent, and the right apps.

Of course, drawing on a screen feels more natural when you are handling a stylus, but don’t worry if you don’t have one - the apps that we’re presenting below work very well with your fingers, too.

We've selected both free and paid apps, and we're pretty sure that you'll find at least a few that are to your liking. Of course, if you know any great apps that we didn't include, feel free to let us know about them in the comments section.

Some great tools here. Interesting to see that Fractal Painter finally made it to mobile, as "Corel Painter". I notice that it exports to Photoshop/PSD for easy sharing with desktop apps. I would think SketchBook Mobile files can be used by SketchBook Pro on the desktop as well. I am hoping there is some app made soon that can import S-Note files so I can save them as something else, i.e. Illustrator. It's been frustrating having a lot of S-Note files that I can't edit on my desktop machine.

+1. Drawing apps are one area that enable the Note to show its stuff. I am going to be loading some of these apps and trying them out. Props to PA for putting up this article!

Why isn't Procreate 2, Adobe Photoshop Touch, Tayasui Sketches, and Inspire Pro on the list? Best apps for professional artists on a tablet.

Thanks for the insights on few best Android apps for drawing, painting, and sketching. Could you please review android app "PAINTASTIC - Draw, Color, Paint" (bit.ly/paintasticApp) and see if it can make to one of top ones in the category. Its a highly appreciated app with over 1 lakh downloads and a rating of 4.1 Its USP is a lot of custom predefined shapes or vectors ranging from basic shapes to floral to apparels and body parts, and also the unique multicolored brush/background feature. Also there are all sort of edit options as in a desktop paint app.
