The bezel-less, unibody Elephone S3 will reportedly hit stores next month
Elephone has been diligent in its recent efforts to churn out new handsets, combining solid specs, neat design and interesting features into inexpensive bundles of smartphone goodness. In the past few months alone, we've gotten up close and personal with the likes of the Elephone M2, Elephone Vowney, and the company'sP9000. Now, the firm looks set to roll out the design-focused Elephone S3, featuring a metallic unibody design that also puts paid to those much-derided bezels.

According to the folks at GizmoChina, the S3 will include a 5.2-inch full-HD display, which we'll assume to be of 1920 x 1080 resolution. The device will not include any capacitive buttons on the front, meaning core functions like Menu or Back can be shown and hidden on the display at a user's discretion. Under the hood, there will be MediaTek's octa-core MT6753 processor accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 16 gigs of internal storage.

To the rear, the report mentions a 13-megapixel Sony-made shooter, which isn't too surprising given Elephone's history of deploying Sony's camera tech. The rear side will also be adorned with a fingerprint sensor.

Keeping the lights on will be a 2100 mAh battery. While the Elephone S3 contains relatively mid-range features and thus shouldn't be as juice-thirsty as the more powerful smartphones around, this still seems quite a meager amount of battery capacity. One has to wonder whether Elephone hasn't overly compromised battery life in favor of sleek design.

There's no word on price as yet, but it's likely to arrive in the four colors of silver, gold, rose gold and grey. There's also no specific word on the release date, but the device should be available from next month.
