Huawei Watch defines luxurious and cool on a pair of company produced videos
As we come down to the final hours before Huawei makes its presentation at MWC, one of the products that it expects to unveil has appeared in a pair of company made videos. The Huawei Watch Design Story is one of the videos and shows a consumer by the name of Ash Newton, who says that his smartwatch has to look like a watch, not another smartphone. "I don't want a miniature smartphone or just another gadget to show off."

According to Huawei wearable designer Benjamin Norton, the company chose a circular dial because it is the classic watch shape. Users can choose from business-type faces, casual faces or sporty faces. Huawei also discovered that 42mm is the perfect diameter allowing both men and women to enjoy the watch. The straps are interchangeable so that each individual can feel comfortable with the timepiece, and sapphire glass is used to protect the watch face from scratches and cracks. The Huawei Watch has a metal unibody design.

The Huawei Watch is powered by Android Wear and features Google Now capabilities. It also offers "state-of-the-art activity tracking functionality." And the features on the Huawei Watch come more into play on the second video, which shows a person with the timepiece relying on it for navigation, current weather, and a heart rate reading as he races to meet friends at a 10-year reunion at Lake Chamrousse.

Looks like Huawei has built a strong luxury contender in the still developing Android Wear smartwatch niche. On Sunday, we should hear more important information about the wearable including price and availability.
