There will be an endless supply of sunlight for the foreseeable future, but in their current state solar chargers are inefficient and slow.  A Sweedish company, myFC, looks to tap into the the world's second most abundant resource to charge your phone.  The new PowerTrekk charger is a simple fuel cell charger that uses a mere spoonful of water to provide a full charge to your phone.  The charger, not much larger than a pocket camera, is capable of using both salt and fresh water so you can dip into the ocean or grab your juice from a puddle of rain water.  While you and I may not be carrying these around with you, campers, aid workers and anyone in remote locations will no doubt appreciate this simple way to keep their gadgets charged while off the grid.
