iPad Pro (2018) icon found in iOS hints at all-screen design with no home button

Falling in line with recent leaks, the icon in question depicts a new iPad that does away with Apple’s iconic home button. This is due to the significantly smaller bezels on the device that leave no room for physical buttons, much like Apple’s latest iPhone models. Another thing worth noting is the fact that Apple’s new iPad Pro tablets also look set to adopt rounded display corners. However, unlike the company’s smartphones, no notch is seen above the display.

Unfortunately, the icon in question doesn’t provide a proper look at the rear of the tablet or its frame. But two volume buttons can be seen along the right side of the frame, as can a power button on top of the device. Also, if recent leaks are anything to go by, a USB Type-C port will be included below the tablet while, over on the back, an aluminum design that combines the looks of both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 devices should be present.

At the moment, it’s unclear when Apple’s new iPad Pro models will be available to purchase and for how much. However, those of you who may be interested should note that both 11-inch and 12.9-inch models are rumored to be on the cards. These will reportedly be compatible with the second-generation Apple Pencil that is reportedly on the way too.
