Youth oriented LG Optimus Chat C550 is available with O2 UK as a pay & go device

Granted that other devices might have overshadowed it, but the LG Optimus Chat C550 was actually first introduced back in February during MWC 2011 by LG – and now it’s becoming a reality.

In fact, the handset is hitting the streets of the UK courtesy of O2 where the device is being made available for £139 ($222) on a Pay-As-You-Go plan.  Currently available in a combination pink/black paint job, the LG Optimus Chat C550 will also become available in a black/silver variant – though, there isn’t an exact time frame on when we’ll see it.

Nonetheless, this youth oriented Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone will more than likely attract its target audience thanks to its landscape style QWERTY keyboard – the perfect companion for text messaging buff!. Other features include a 2.8” HVGA display, 3-megapixel camera, 140MB of internal storage, microSD card slot, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 3.5mm headset jack.
