WHERE gets added to T-Mobile's web2go service
Some times you're at an unfamiliar location and have no clue to what you can find around your area. That's when uLocate's location based service application, WHERE, comes into mind. T-Mobile is now making the software available for download through their web2go service on certain handsets at $2.99 per month after a deal was met between the two. WHERE enables users to search people, places, read restaurant reviews, find the cheapest gas, movie show times, and keep them connected with Buddy Beacon. Not all handsets on the carrier's lineup will have access to it. For now, owners sporting a G1, BlackBerry Curve, Samsung Memoir and Behold will be the first to try out the service. Other feature phones will get access to it some time down the road. So if you're taking a vacation and want to know where the local hot spots are, then check out WHERE so you're up-to-date with the hippest areas.
