UBS says Apple is on track to smash its own iPhone sales records in Q4
Analyst Maynard UM from the banking giant UBS is positive that sales of the new iPhone 4S, as well as the older generation of Apple's venerable smartphone are through the roof.

He says that the expected cumulative iPhone sales can easily hit 30 million devices, and that will the most Apple has ever sold in a quarter. Recent comments from AT&T and supply chain checks for the month of November actually confirm the notion that Apple might log its best ever quarter, for the umpteenth time.

As for tablets, the analyst expects about 12 million iPads to be sold in Q4, with the number eventually hitting 13 million, which will dwarf everyone's tablet sales combined. Apple doesn't make as much profit from the iPad as it does from the iPhone line, but it's still a riot compared to what other manufacturers are squeezing out of slates.
