Stickers are coming to BBM

Stickers are coming to BBM
BlackBerry announced on Friday that the latest beta version of BBM includes (drum roll, please)...stickers. Okay, you're probably thinking what is the difference between stickers and emoticons. According to BlackBerry, stickers are bolder, more beautiful images that you can place right inside your chats. Stickers have to be purchased from the BBM Shop and they include 20-25 stickers to a pack based on theme or character.

Some of the stickers will include characters from your favorite television shows or movies. And yes, there will be a free sticker pack available with images of your favorite emoticons so that you can "really get your point across in a bigger, bolder way".

Friday starts the limited beta trial for the stickers and the BBM Shop (which is to be found inside BBM), although BlackBerry did not mention how to get in on the trial. With the recent $19 billion deal for WhatsApp, messaging is where it's at now and BBM could be a crown jewel inside the company.

With best designed messaging app fell into devil's hands, now even old style BBM has a chance. I prefer Viber, though, for good looking UI, free video call and cutest stickers for now. Lines or Wechat throws out a lot of social network features which are often annoying and complicated.

Funny, I'm from the same country and have both Whatsapp and Line but not BBM. BBM is a resource hogger that my phone tend to kill it in the background, very inconsistent on worse connection (one previous message never delivered but the next one in same chat delivered in no time wtf), asshat users spamming useless broadcast etc etc etc.
