Sony Xperia Tablet S to get Jelly Bean update tomorrow
Yesterday, we heard that Sony has plans to release the Jelly Bean update for its Xperia S Android phone starting next month, but it looks like there's another update that's on the way much sooner. Sony has announced that the Jelly Bean update for its Xperia Tablet S will begin tomorrow for users in the US, Canada, and Latin America (otherwise known as North America).

Unfortunately, this update will only bring the tablet from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, and not all the way to Android 4.2. Still, 4.1 does have a number of amazing features like Google Now, Project Butter, and the expanded notifications. Users just won't get the multi-user support, gesture keyboard, and Photosphere features of 4.2.

There is no word what extra features Sony has added on top of the standard Jelly Bean goodies, but there will be a full changelog coming with the update. The update will begin rolling out to users between 9AM and 10AM PST (12PM and 1PM EST). So, if you're an Xperia Tablet S owner, keep an eye out.
