So, how about depicting a white iPhone 8? Hajek's new concept images are up to the task

When it comes to graphics artists who dabble in the murky waters of rendering future phones, there is barely a more prominent name than one Martin Hajek. His designs are usually top-notch not only in terms of 3D-rendering mastery, but also in conveying the main rumors and leaks about an upcoming phone in the most plausible manner.

Especially adept at visualizing iPhones (artists and their love for all things Apple and Mac, you know), Martin Hajek has this time taken upon himself the heavy task of imagining a white iPhone 8. So far, most renders we've seen represent a black iPhone 8 concept, so someone had to draw the inevitable white one, too, and that's exactly what you see above.

The rumored dual camera in a vertical setup with slightly protruding lens is here, as is, apparently, the rumored in-display finger scanner/home key combo. What we really liked, however, is the effort to relay the rumored all-glass industrial design with stainless steel band around it, and the edge-to-edge display at the front, with just a small cutout at the top for the relevant sensors and front camera, Essential and Sharp phone style. Needless to say, the phones are running iOS 11, as can be deduced by the DND-while-driving feature depicted here. What do you think, could the eventual iPhone 8 look anything like this?

Not sure how to feel about that front camera. It ruins the whole thing.

I think it gives it a tech vibe. Even though I am an Android user, I think that the iPhone 8 puts Apple on top again. I mean, no one managed to remove all 4 bezels, but they did, even if there is some lateral bezel thickness the overall look of the phone is stunning. Hopefully the real one looks like that too.

I'm beginning to really like that clip at the top tbh. It just gives it character, you know, like a customary trademark. Since all phones are going full screen now, they would all start to look thesame and boring (they are already starting to tbh). So, a little apple trademark will really set it apart from the rest since the whole front is virtually bezeless.

That's a nice way to justify that ugly camera cutout. Chapeau!

"they would all start to look thesame and boring (they are already starting to tbh)" What are those phones you're talking about? And why I'm not surprised that you found Apple's approach is better than the symmetrical bezeless designs other OEMs have given us?

I wish there was an option in phonearena comments where I could see all the previous comments from a user

visually its kind of weird but it does have its uses such as saving space like top icons. it will also look better if its in black and can look flush with a black wallpaper. i wonder how you will drop down the notification tray. push down from the front camera?

It looks a little out of place in white, I agree, but in black, this looks really good because it blends in with the narrow status bar. Overall, I like it better than the Essential phone's solution. It doesn't protrude as much.

I seriously hate that front camera+speaker design. They could've made both the top and bottom bezels of equal size rather than just ruin the elegance like that.

I think since you need space at the top for the camera and speaker regardless, using areas to the sides of those for "free" as signal and battery indicators rather than them being wasted or eating into the main screen make it preferable. That small screen indicator area will likely be coloured to match the border so it doesn't intrude visually I'd imagine and I expect there will be an equivalent sized status bar area of some kind at the bottom of the screen to balance it visually too.

"...area will likely be coloured to match the border so it doesn't intrude visually I'd imagine.." If so, then Your wish to have screen burn-in ( if not on Samsung flagships) going to be true..... AMOLED panels on coming iCrap are not going to as high quality as that on S7 or S8. So, revolutionary iRetina Burn-in is coming to to destroy all its competitors.

Gorgeous .I hope budget will allow me to buy one .Personally I am fan of black and blue variants .Bezelessness and glass back and front is the trend of 2017.

Ehh looks pretty horrible with that bar up top. Image 1 seems decent but the more angles you get on that bar, it just ruins it.

Kind of LG G6 but with much lower screen resolution.

Once all phones are 'all screen' on the front, how is anyone going to be able to tell its an Apple when they all look the same?

Excellent render! If the new iPhone turns out exactly as this render, then I will get one.

It reminds me in many ways of the SVPER concept phone. Only that thing was more beautiful, alas it's a concept.

That big bragging apple logo should not come to iphone 8's back or it will look really ugly in actual.
