"Series" no longer a part of Windows Phone 7
Microsoft's lengthy name for its next generation mobile platform offered plenty twists to the tongue as one would seemingly attempt to say its full name. Even though many argue that certain elements of its name should be dropped to embody simplicity, it looks as though Microsoft has listened to the many dis-pleasures of people and removed “Series” off the once undeniably long, and sometimes confusing, mobile platform name. Windows Phone 7 sounds a tad better and does follow in almost the same footsteps of its previous incarnation in Windows Mobile. With the new change in name, it goes to show how Microsoft is carefully taking criticisms about its mobile platform and taking the opportunity to address it right away. Let's hope they keep that in mind as they continue to develop the platform – copy and paste surely does come to mind right now; we'll see if they can get it on board in time for launch.
