Samsung Gear Fit 2 price and release date

The new Samsung Gear Fit 2 has just gone official: equipped with a larger-than-its-predecessor 1.5" display, an on-board GPS receiver, as well as 4 gigs for your offline music and even a Spotify app, it looks like a great fitness companion.

If you're sold on the functionality and the looks of the new wearable, you might be wondering: what are the Samsung Gear Fit 2 price and release date?

Samsung has confirmed that it will officially price the Gear Fit 2 at $180, some $20 less than the original Gear Fit that launched in late 2014.

The Gear Fit 2 release date is set for June 10th in the United States, just a week from today's unveiling. You should be able to get the new wearable at all major retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon.

Does this have sleep tracking? If not proper sleep tracking I will wait for Me Band 2 or maybe a new Jawbone (if they release anything new)

Any word on the battery life for this? Also, the advertisement video for this is terrible. It showcases for like 10 out of the 30 seconds.

3-4 days with 5 days in standby mode. Personally, I'd want the display on the entire time instead of pushing a button on the side to see the if it does have that option, I'd want at least a 2 day battery life on it.

I was going to buy a Microsoft Band 2 this weekend for $175 but I'll be holding off a bit so I can check out this new option.

I don't get it. They want to take over this market, make the price $99 and it will fly off the shelves. Not working with iPhone is huge miss part. I would rather see this at $149.99 don't get $180

Even though $180 is competitively priced I agree that $150 would give a good fight to Fitbit and Garmin. But a comparable tracker with all features as Gear fit 2 is close to $250 in Fitbit.

Honestly, 200 dollars is more than a fair price for what this offers. But 180 is a gift and people need to stop being greedy and realize that people need to make money, or else there won't be any fun new technology to buy.

Yeah, why stop there? They should probably make it 100 dollars and then BOGO! And a free VR headset, just for kicks, so you can just VRun in place. Hell, make it 50 dollars, they'll take over the world. That's how you sound. These products are a luxury that you don't NEED. And 180 is a perfectly fair price for everything that this offers, which is far more than any other wearable, not including true smartwatches.
