Report: Apple iPad Air 2 will have a gold version
Apple’s been selling gold-colored iPhones since last year, but there are no golden iPads to match them yet. Fret not, though, because the next-generation iPad Air (quite possibly called iPad Air 2) will have a gold version - according to Bloomberg and sources "familiar with the matter." Mind you, it's not the first time we're hearing about this.

Bloomberg reports that the new iPaid Air’s gold version will be available alongside grey and silver models. This way, the tablet will have the same color scheme of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The iPad Air 2 could be officially announced in October - thus one year after the original iPad Air was introduced. Feature-wise, the tablet should offer Touch ID, an A8 processor, and 2 GB of RAM. The screen will be a 9.7-inch one (it remains to be seen if the resolution will be increased from the 2048 x 1536 pixels one offered by the first-gen iPad Air).

We’re really curious to find out if the new iPad Air will be significantly thinner than the first-generation model (it’s certainly possible, since both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are thinner than previous models). But we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when Apple finally announces the tablet.
