Parrot AR.Drone is commencing its takeoff with pre-orders through Brookstone
The wait is over for iPhone owners who've been waiting patiently for Parrot's AR.Drone quadricopter to make its way into the market. We were first introduced to this iPhone controlled quadricopter back at CES where it showcased all the fun one can have with it, but now you can ready yourself by fetching a pre-order through Brookstone. In addition to being able to choose your specific color scheme, they're also throwing in a free “flight bag” with your pre-order if you happen to fall somewhere within the first 300 pre-orders. Although US consumers will be experiencing this remote controlled device very shortly, our friends outside the US will have to find alternative measures to grab themselves one. As it stands right now, the expected ship date is September 3rd, 2010 – which is roughly only a month away from right now. So if you happen to have at least $300 in cold hard cash laying around somewhere, then you may want to consider getting yourself a Parrot AR.Drone to show off your flying skills to friends. Finally, there is also a $10 shipping fee when you place your pre-order – so don't be too surprised by it. It'll be surely interesting what kind of activities iPhone owners will do now that they'll have a hovering quadricopter roving about and scoping the scenery with its cameras.
