Panasonic Toughbook Android tablet reappears in London
The Panasonic Toughbook is one of a special army of rugged notebooks, but now Panasonic has transposed its ruggedness to tablets with the confirmation of the Toughbook Android tablet. We’ve previously heard about the device back in June, but now the device has finally officially appeared at the Defense and Security International exhibition in London.

The spec sheet of the Panasonic Toughbook slate lists a 10.1-inch XVGA screen, which is bright enough for use in daytime, while at the same time cutting down on reflections. The tablet also comes with an active stylus, the perfect tool for more precise input than what your fingers can provide.

The first and most possible use for the slate includes the military and that’s why the device comes with satellite-based GPS, better battery than most other tablets out there and an optional 3G module. Even though we don’t have the exact price just yet, judging by the high price of Toughbook laptops, it will be more than your average tablet.
