Award-winning puzzle game Monument Valley now free on Android

Beautiful, serene, and quirky — Monument Valley is a puzzle game with gameplay mechanics that were specifically tailored for touchscreen controls and levels that struck balance between mind-bending and satisfaction. It quickly became a sweetheart and poster boy for mobile gaming both in the eyes of critics and gamers.

Naturally, the success of the first title resulted in an expansion pack and a full-blown second game after. However, if you still haven't experienced the original Monument Valley, you can now do so for free, at least on Android.

The game is now available for download at no charge over on the Play Store. We've no information whether it will become free over on the iPhone App Store in the following hours, but we will keep an eye on it.

Keep in mind that the add-on chapter is still available at a cost — $1.99 via in-app purchases.

Awesome game... loved it more than the sequel. The Sequel just seemed like more of the same and excessively short.

Um, yes I know that - as the Android version is what this article is about. The article also mentions that the discount isn't available for IOS just yet but says nothing about Windows Mobile. I just thought I'd check the Microsoft Store for fun and then I posted what I found. Cheers.

Awesome game, if you haven't' played it make sure you do so now. Nice to see the developers giving people the chance to play the game for free. Real Media Now Ltd
