Microsoft announced Windows Mobile 5.0
Microsoft announced their new version of the well known mobile operating system Windows Mobile 5.0. Enhancements in Windows Mobile 5.0 will provide device-makers and mobile operators with more options to differentiate themselves from competitors and ultimately provide end users with a wider range of converged devices.
Here are some of the features that would be supported by the devices running this operating system:
3G networks, Wi-Fi and improved Bluetooth capabilities
New technologies as video calling and conferencing and push to talk
Design solutions like landscape display orientation and QWERTY keyboards
Hard drives can be used for memory storage, USB 2.0 is also supported
Well known office applications as Excel Mobile and Word Mobile
Multimedia applications including the well known Windows Media Player Mobil
Improved security
