Microsoft announced Windows Mobile 5.0

Microsoft announced their new version of the well known mobile operating system – Windows Mobile 5.0. Enhancements in Windows Mobile 5.0 will provide device-makers and mobile operators with more options to differentiate themselves from competitors and ultimately provide end users with a wider range of converged devices.
Here are some of the features that would be supported by the devices running this operating system:

• 3G networks, Wi-Fi and improved Bluetooth capabilities
• New technologies as video calling and conferencing and “push to talk”
• Design solutions like landscape display orientation and QWERTY keyboards
• Hard drives can be used for memory storage, USB 2.0 is also supported
• Well known office applications as Excel Mobile and Word Mobile
• Multimedia applications including the well known Windows Media Player Mobil
• Improved security
