After throwing in the towel on mobile Windows, Microsoft has been getting ever-closer to Android, with its Research lab churning out one app after another in the Play Store. This camaraderie just went to 11, as Microsft announced Android app-mirroring for Windows machines.

Called Your Phone, the Windows 10 application is supposed to start with texting or browsing photos from your Android device on your desktop or laptop in the current October update, and full app mirroring should arrive at a later date.

For the iPhone, Microsoft mentioned one would be able to, say, push web pages from mobile to Windows, but not much else for now. The Windows 10 October update is already available for download, so you can head and try the Your Phone app for yourself.
