HTC EVO 4G commercial focuses in on evolutionary aspects
One would suspect that that the HTC EVO 4G can sell itself without any marketing campaign backing its launch, but in fact, advertisements can play a crucial role in how handsets are sold successfully. No doubt we'll begin to see commercials for the HTC EVO 4G starting tomorrow when it makes its grand entrance to the world, but we're already witnessing what kind of promotion its receiving. Sprint's commercial for their first 4G enabled smartphone is rather less when it comes to the in your face attitude seen on Verizon's DROID commercials. The video basically is a montage of the evolutionary inventions witnessed throughout history that brought along the notion of being first – which of course the HTC EVO 4G can claim with its 4G connectivity. And that's exactly how it ends when bulky looking phones fall like dominoes which eventually comes to a stop with the HTC EVO 4G being touted as the first ever 4G phone. However, it doesn't make an appearance until the very end and does little to show off some of its highly prized features – such as 4G data speeds. Nonetheless, it's the first video to get consumers introduced to the handset that's expected to bring Sprint some business, but we'd gather that Sprint will continue to focus on the handset with future advertising campaigns.

Really? I think the phones's good but the commercial sucks. I felt like I was watching the history channel. What kind of consumer would go crazy about this phone after seeing that?
