Google's updated Gmail app will support Yahoo and Outlook accounts

Syncing one's emails with an Android device has always presented a now well-known plight for users who have email accounts open with providers other than Google. The thing is – Google's mail app can only sync with Gmail accounts, whereas there are plenty of 3rd party mailers, both on the Play Store and manufacturer-baked into the phones, that one often ponders whether they should omit the Gmail app and stick with the 3rd party one, or use 2 mail apps, in order to keep the Gmail authentic experience for their Gmail accounts.

Well, the plight seems to finally be coming to an end, as a recent ad for Google's Lollipop-updated version of the Gmail app shows that it will support email accounts from Yahoo, Outlook, “and others”. Of course, the ad does not miss to flaunt the new “Material Design” and gives us a quick tour of the redesigned Gmail app, which still looks familiar, yet fresh. Check it out below.
