Froyo coming to the myTouch 3G Slide next week - with a full roll out starting in July?
With a week left before customers can get themselves with one of the few available Android 2.1 devices on the market, it already looks like the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide will already be getting Android 2.2 Froyo next week. According to Unwired View's two separate and anonymous tipsters, it's being reported that the the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the myTouch 3G Slide is expected to become available next week, but the catch is that it'll only be available to T-Mobile employees for testing purposes only. Thankfully, consumers that decide to side with the myTouch 3G Slide as opposed to other Android handset launching in the first week of June, they'll be greeted to the Froyo update some time around the second half for the year – which means that it could be as early as July before it comes out. Worse case scenario could potentially position the update around the busy holiday season – where it'll no doubt be a tough wait, but nonetheless something worthwhile.
