Free Square Enix RPG Mobius Final Fantasy out now on Android & iOS

Today is a fine day for RPG fans, as iconic game studio Square Enix released a brand new, free-to-play installment of its long-running Final Fantasy series on Android and iOS devices. Mobius's storyline is made by the writer behind Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X, and features 3D graphics.

Mobius' story is separated in chapters, with each release accompanied by grand in-game events and introducing new playable content and customization options for your character!

The game features a new turn-based battle system, designed specifically for mobile devices. It involves highly tactical challenges where every action flows into the next. Players chain attacks and abilities in a rhythmic flow, bringing destruction to their foes.

Additionally, Final Fantasy's "Job System" returns, letting players delve deeper into character customization. According to the developers, there are limitless combinations between job classes and elemental abilities. Players can choose their job, build their decks, and crush their enemies.

The game is free to play and can be downloaded on iOS devices running version 7.0 or later, and Android machines operating on version 4.0 or later.

Aside from probably the initial download of content, is this an offline game?

I don't mind if the game is 2GB or 3GB as long as it is offline.

It's not that great, it's well presented but the gameplay is lame Final fantasy in name only, nothing to do with the series we know and love.

Wow, that launch trailer was terrible! I hope it's because they spent all their money producing a quality game.
