Only if you plug it into an unauthorized power outlet. To confirm it is authorized, and this can work on any type of cellphone, hold your phone in one hand and jab the outlet numerous times with a fork with the other hand. If you sense a charge while doing this, it's not authorized. Hope this helps! **DISCLAIMER** Do not attempt this without proper first responders present.

I have the lenses and they are really nice. A bit bulky (they are not small lenses) but very nice. Sadly there is only one case with the threads for these lenses, so I had to modify my s-view case to add the threaded part of the lens case to it. (Best of both worlds now) The camera sensor in the Samsung phones is larger than most, thus the good photos, so the standard cheapo phone lenses don't work well. These are very nice. The wide angle produces a nicely rectilinear image with very little distortion.

My take is this even with 40% off, 100 bucks is still a lot of money to accomplish tasks that I'll use every once in a while. Also I'd have to give up my Spigen case which I really like. What happens when the Galaxy 8 series comes out and the case no longer fits? Will they make just a case that I use the lenses with. I'm not that tempted.
