DIY: installing wireless charging pad in desk looks easy

Wireless charging with inductive technology is one convenience you get used to when you have it on devices like the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nexus 4. Not having to look for that cable and just magically placing your phone on a charging pad and have it juice up is neat. But you still need to have a separate wireless charging dock and it’s just not that futuristic.

How about a desk with built-in wireless charging, though? Turns out, it’s not all that hard to do it yourself, and a Reddit user who purchased an IKEA desk shows how to. By a lucky coincidence, the purchased desk was conveniently hollow and it was easy installing the Nokia DT-900 Wireless Charging Plate.
