Creepy statue in memory of Steve Jobs will grace Apple's HQ in Cupertino

A day after Steve Jobs's would havebeen birthday, Apple revealed the commemorative bust that will beplaced at its Cupertino HQ. It is made by Serbian sculptor DraganRadenovic, and his project was chosen between over 10 000 competingentries. What we are seeing is a smaller version of the bust, whichwill stand between 10 to 16ft tall in Cupertino.

Surprised by the looks? If anything, the godly height is guaranteed to make the statue even creepier. Itfeatures Steve's head on top of a pedestal, decorated with crudelyprotruding letters and numbers. Radenovic says they are the Serbianletter ?, the Latin letter A, and the binary numbers 0 and 1.Apparently, Apple executives were shown the work in sketch-form, andliked Radenovic's vision.

It's hard to guess whether Steve Jobswould've approved of it if he was alive, but his legendaryperfectionism gives us a good reason to doubt. Regardless, a weirdmonument is better than no monument at all.

If you start with the number "1", and go clockwise it says 1 L o v e... His head is at the top of the "L"... :) ... 1 Love.

It would have been better if the message of the statue wasn't so abstract and vague.

That really calls Ive's design aesthetic expertise into question.

That's what happens when the statue wasn't designed by Braun.

Serbian letter? It looks more like the symbol for the Euro: € But the funny thing is that whole monstrosity looks like an "i", with Steve's head dotting it.

If this is the design that they selected for a statue, God save apple with the new design of iphone 6 that these people will chose.

And they have the nerve to harp about Apple users

People are so insecure about the phone they have and the community they are apart of, that they feel the need to do so. The Apple community is stronger than any other community, and might I add happier and more joyful/proud about the company they support. Never do these people go out of the way to rag and bag on competition companies unless in mockery or playful defense of an attack toward them. No I am not talking about this website. This website is filled with basement dwelling virgins who feed off of paper statistics and get a two inch hard on when ever they have the chance to harp on Apple. When I was into Android while I had been a Note 2 user, I never experienced what I experience as an Apple user. No one ever felt the same pride and joy. Rag on this post all you want (fandroids and anti apple), but it's true. #nevergoingbacktoandroid

DAMN!!! I thought they like the guy. Is it a monument or a warning? Like him or not, he was a genius and deserves better.

They forgot to add an iphone to his "hand". ;-) I think the messages should say: "hate one evil Google".
