Best cases to protect your shiny, new Sony Xperia XZ Premium

Alright, guys, Sony has announced that its second 4K smartphone — the Xperia XZ Premium — is headed for the US and will be landing on the 19th of June with a price tag of $799.99. Yeah, it's a pricey top-tier handset, but hey — we guess that's the price of the super-sharp 4K display.

So, yeah, it's a pretty phone, but it's also an expensive phone. You will probably want to have at least one case for it — if not for everyday use, then for just special occasions where you will be spending more time out and about with increased risks of dropping the handset. Of course, you will probably be looking for cases that look at least “OK” to slap on the metal-clad beast.

Well, we plowed through the currently available cases and managed to pull out 9 that would look good on your brand-new Xperia XZ Premium. Here's hoping that there's more choice after the phone launches!

You need a case for your brain if you buy this phone.

Because apparently Ibiza doesn't understand that everyone have different taste and needs. I don't know why some people think that everyone should own the same phone... Anyway, ignoring the troll here, my favorite case for Xperia devices is actually Ringke Fusion... An inexpensive mixed case (soft frame / hard back) that has a hole for straps, port caps and its clear translucency show the beauty of the device

Am I the only one who thinks that putting these ugly cases on a phone this beautiful would be a major crime? I could see someone maybe (and it's a big maybe) using some thin and clear case, but these.

The cases really emphasize the boxiness of the phone and take away any elegance
