Android Marshmallow has been around for a few months now, but it's still highly unlikely that your particular model device has it running on its hardware yet. According to the latest official Google data pull, only 0.5% of the total Android population is currently running the latest major firmware, and even among avid techies such as we have in our community here at PhoneArena, Marshmallow is still a rarity.

Obviously, given that we're still in the early Marshmallow era, most custom ROMs are targeted at the Google Nexus of devices, because those are the ones that get access to the new stuff first. So there are a ton of modifications on the official code already available.
