Apple iPad mini enters full-scale production, new mockup shows the tablet off
The Apple iPad mini is still just a rumor, but with so much noise from all high-positioned sources, there must be fire. Now, though, we have more smoke in the form of a report from two Chinese securities companies saying the 7.85-inch tablet has already entered full-scale production.

Chinese manufacturer PegaTron is now said to also be making the iPad mini, so Foxconn is not the only plant that Apple relies on. PegaTron allegedly got 50% to 60% of the orders with the remainder left for Foxconn.

From what we know so far, the iPad mini is expected to get officially unveiled in October, and arrive on store shelves by the end of the year and in time for the Holiday shopping craze.

We’ve seen numerous leaks, rumors, renders and pictures of mockups, just as we did with the iPhone 4S. Now, right below we have some new mockup showing off what the 7.85-inch tablet by Apple should look like. This new model comes with a narrower bezel, but the unit is non-functional so there's no way to verify how close to reality it is. We’ve seen that Apple delivered just as expected with the phone, now could the same happen with the tablet? We should know pretty soon.
