Apple Watch - all the watchfaces, apps, and designs

And the watch itself is a looker! Apple is about to offer it in three editions with wildly differing bands and leashes. This is strictly leather, silicone, and metal territory here - no compromises!

Severely disappointed. Apple could have done so much better.

I swear, we got that a few days ago for Samsung. We just like good products when we see 'em, man! No hidden agendas here.

tbh i was waiting for apple to introduce the iwatch and stir things up(inspire others if you will), looks like they need some sort of inspiration themselves. i really don't think Jobs would've allowed much of today's keynote.

The home screen UI looks like the vita one, from 2011. and now the apple people will claim apple has created smartwatches, something MS has been toying around with since 2002, then a flood of other manufacturers creating them a couple years after

I'd really like to know exactly what the author was smoking when he wrote this. The reason it was featured so much is cause Apple expects a turn around the the somewhat decline they have, nothing to do with the (non-existent) beauty in this device. While I am in no way an apple fan I was still looking forward to a far better take on the Apple Watch. Very disappointing indeed. Complete? Debatable. We'll see how 2015 shapes up. Personally its between the LG G Watch R or the Moto 360. Nothing else comes close

guys above are either lying or just have different taste, the pictures of the watches above are nice, my only problem with the moto it look a little too big, and I feel like apple have the right size of what a watch should look like

Luis come on- "Makes android wear looks like it was rush to the market." This is really a bad comment for a unbiased article. This watch looks like all the other smart watches out there in fact the LG-R and Moto 360 in my opinion look more premium then this watch.

Awesome design software and hardware, totally agree with the author. And just because you disagree doesn't mean you have to go berserk on the author, it's an opinion, if you don't like what you see there are many more tech websites out there

"The Apple Watch is beautiful!" "And the watch itself is a looker!" You're joking, right?...... right?

Well if I'm being honest I actually like the design. It looks like a watch I'd want to wear. I seem to be the only one so I can only conclude that I've been ibrainwashed. I would never own it because I don't like iTunes and its lock on everything you do.

IMO, the Apple Watch isn't ugly, but it isn't all that great looking. The big down is, watches have had this shape for years. To name a few, Timex, Casio and many others have had similar watches. In fact, most of the so-called "smartwatches" look a lot like watches from the past. Maybe that is good, maybe not. But since it really offers no physical distinction vs a regular good ole fashioned timepiece, what is the big deal? At least the Gear S for starters doesn't look like any device from the past. It unique in that it has a full 100% phone function which Samsung has had in the past. I can't wait to see the apps. It's gonna be like iOS. Out of the first 100,000 apps, 10,000 of them will just be watch faces alone. In fact I expect watch faces will be the majority of the downloads. Games like Snake from Nokia or similar will follow, because the display is to small for any other game I can think of. At least I can play Solitaire on my Gear S. But on my display, games like Space Invaders and Pac-man, Tetris would be awesome and easy to paly do to its size where other watches will not have much because most apps will be to small to fit on the screen. Then price is a deterrent for most watches. Even the 299 I paid for the Gear S is high. But consider it is half smartwatch and half smartphone, I get 2 devices in one so the price is a bit easier to swallow vs paying 349 of watch that basically tells time and weather.
