Android goes regal in the titanium-bodied $6000 Gresso Regal Gold
Luxury smartphones usually come off as tacky, or just plain weird-looking... unless your perception has been distorted by your opulent lifestyle, that is! This makes Gresso's handsets for the affluent a welcome breath of relief, because they look stunning, frankly.

The Gresso Regal Gold, which is the Swiss company's latest and greatest, certainly doesn't miss the high design mark, and its spec sheet doesn't disappoint either. The $6000 limited edition phone is narrowed down to 999 units and is built out of Grade 5-titanium and Gorilla Glass, which makes the traditional metal & glass high-end smartphone combo sound unapologetically pedestrian.

The smartphone's design is characterised by a precise form, elegant lines, and minimalistic decoration. Its gold color is achieved with PVD coating, but the insert on the back panel, where the collection number and Gresso logo are engraved, is made of 18K Yellow Gold.

Gresso doesn't disclose its phones' specifications in detail, seeing that its target market is after status and exclusivity rather than AnTuTu scores. Still, the Gresso Regal Gold packs a 5-inch 1080p resolution screen, a quad-core processor, a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front cam, and 32GB of storage. It also measures 5.63 x 2.76 x 0.34in (143.2 х 70.2 х 8.8mm), weighing in at a solid, impressive 7.23oz (205g).

The Gresso Regal Gold is sold worldwide through the company's on-line store.
