10 great images captured with smartphones #100

We're back with the 100th post in our special photographic-centric series where we present you with a number of awesome images taken by... well, you (and your cell phones).

So, which picture did you like most last time? The answer is Artis Kigulis's photo, taken with the Samsung Galaxy S5. And a pretty well-deserved first place it is, we should say!

Of course, there are many other incredible images left to be seen. Let's continue with another set of 10 pics, each of which can easily convince even the most professionally-inclined photographer that cell phones are more than a toy in the camera department.

Please note that if your own awesome image is not included here, this doesn't mean that it won't end up on the site. We simply might not have gotten to it yet! So, we urge you to continue following us, as we'll be publishing more of these truly great photos in the following days and weeks.

We'd also like to remind you that you can continue submitting your cool cell phone pics to the following email address:

In order to not miss on all the glory, you also have to mention your name/nickname, as well as the phone you used to take the shots. A nice additional piece of info would be a name or a short description for the image.

With that, we now leave you with our 100th set of favorite photos...

I have the full size photo on my PC so I can't see the resolution now, but it's either taken with superior auto or manual mode with no tweaks. With the Z3 I would just use the manual mode. In low light you might try to put the resolution to 8 mpx and use hand held twilight mode. But yeah I used the default Sony camera app with no tweaks :p When in manual mode and 20 mpx you might also want to try changing the exposure value (I think making it lower usually looks better) or sometimes change the white balance.

Man the smoothness of the water, how effectively the background was blurred...excellent photo, congrats. Only thing that bugs me about it a little is that the camera wasn't level, but still not a problem.

Yeah you know that bugs me as well XD i hate it that you cant have an option for grid lines on Xperia camera app so it's sometimes hard to keep leveled :p

I voted for #5. I have no idea what it is, it's not very clear, but at least it's not another frigging flower or cat pic.
