Google CEO Eric Schmidt was giving us a signal this morning when he was photographed holding a Verizon branded HTC Hero. Yes, that is right, the HTC Hero and all of its sexy hardware and software will be in the Verizon line-up next month. BGR has doubled confirmed this, and the handset will be called-get this-the HTC Hero! The device, if you recall, is the first Android powered phone with flash support for its' browser. It is equipped with the Sense UI which does for Android what TouchFLO 3D does for Windows Mobile. Now, there might be some minor hardware adjustments for Big Red. For example, the model carried by Mr.Schmidt features touch-sensitive buttons below the screen. Many Verizon customers are going to wish it were November already.
Mint Mobile is now allowing you to get whichever plan you like for either three, six, or 12 months for just $15/mo. If you go for the six-month unlimited service, for instance, you'll now have to pay just $90 upfront instead of $210.
