UPDATED: Mighty shots unearth the HTC Incredible for Verizon
The Nexus One isn’t going to be the only HTC Android 2.1 phone for Verizon Wireless after images of the HTC Incredible were leaked. There were already some rumored information regarding this handset, but it looks like they’re pretty much dead on; based on the surfaced images provided by pocketnow. Although it sports a red paint job in the rear, it does pack a lot of similarities under the hood – features include a Snapdragon processor, 256MB of RAM, 3.5” to 3.7” WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, dual LED flash, and the Sense UI. Just like what we’ve seen with RIM’s offerings, the HTC Incredible also sports an optical mouse towards the bottom of the handset as opposed to the usual trackball we’ve seen. Customers have plenty to look forward to with Verizon when it comes to candybar HTC devices running Android – they’re already got one of the best priced Android phones with the HTC DROID Eris and will soon have the Nexus One. It’s really difficult to see this handset go toe-to-toe with the with another high-end Android phone at the same time – we’ll see what Big Red plans on doing with the Incredible when the Nexus One is coming up on the horizon as well.

UPDATE: And now we can see the HTC Incredible in action on the video below. Enjoy!

I like the looks of this phone so far, too bad I bought a new phone already. I'm content with the Storm2 though! :] This phone looks BA.

I am pretty happy about this. I think this is actually replacing the Droid Eris. I like the look without the trackball. Much smoother. HTC should integrate that into the Nexus before they give it to us here at Verizon Wireless. I would actually wait on the trackpad instead of having the problematic trackball. Lets hope the battery holds up though.

Yes, finally a Verizon phone that calls out to me! Droid, Droid Eris, and Nexus One were great, but all had flaws. Droid and Droid Eris's lack of a Snapdragon was irritating, Droid Eris's 3.2" screen, call/call end features were not preferable as the Droid and Nexus One had a 3.7" screen and faster processor (and 16 GB SD and a keyboard (which I really could care less about) for Droid, although Droid did not have the Snapdragon, and both phones did not have the UI Sense I love). Not to mention Droid and Droid Eris do not have 2.1 and although they will most likely be upgraded...I am not willing to chance it. The only things I think that could really propel it in my eyes are optional coloring (red is rather interesting but I am not quite sure about it...), a included 16GB SD card, and maybe (not really a tie-breaker) a 8 megapixel camera? Either way, come the next few months, this phone will be my choice for purchase!

I have a iphone but if I was still with verizon then I would definitely get the Nexus one, its a nice phone, but that HTC HD2 is a beast. Its a fucking monster. The 4.3 in screen, they are making phones better and better. This phone doesn't impress me like the nexus one but I think it is time that microsoft comes out with 7.0 and there own phone. I think if microsoft misses with this new operating system its pretty much a wrap for them

Man, I keep looking at all the phones, between the Nexus One, iPhone, and Palm Pre, but you're right. The HD2, even with windows mobile, looks amazing. I really want one... I hope Windows Mobile 7 becomes something great... I agree, that if they don't hit hard with this one, it's gonna be over for them.

Seems kind of redundant when in a line up next to the n1. The only major difference on this info is that one is stock and the other has a UI

You can kinda see the guys face in the picture. If he works for Verizon, he's fired.

wow it is going to be a very hard decision for me. Nexus One : beauty on the outside(design) The Incredible : beauty on the inside (Sense UI) (otherwise not much difference) ironically, I have the same problem when choosing between girls, haha oh and what makes you guys so certain this phone is going to Verizon? I might be blind but I don't see the Verizon logo anywhere on the phone...

It's getting kind of rediculous. One phone after another has Android built into it. Not saying Android is bad cause I do like it but its going to be weird when you go look for a phone and they have half the store dedicated to just Android. As far as this phone, the front looks just like a damn iphone, nice but coping. The back is hmmm, different. Specs are awsome. Seems like this is the phone for Verizon when Sprint gets the Supersonic, similar specs except the fact that the Supersonic will be 4g compatible.

Dang it What happend to the video!? If it is true only 256mb ram, that is lacking N-1 and Droid eris both have more. Howeve, I would choose this over the nexus beacuse of the HTC sense UI. And I hope it is out around March for my NE2

That back is pretty ugly... but i guess its better than having every phone be black and gray. It'd be pretty cool if they have multiple choices (like more than 2) as to what color backing you want

I hope the back isn't bright ass red/orange, but otherwise the phone looks ballin'

I particularly like the backing of this phone, it's different than the usual black and grey. But color is not for everyone. I am hoping as well that this phone comes out in March...that's when my NE2 comes up and I have an old Moto Q and desperately need to get rid of it. The RAM is not that big a deal for me only because I know the Droid is working just fine with that amount of RAM; but hey, more is better, I wouldn't complain. I just want a new Android phone with Sense and a fast ass processor; that would equal this phone on Verizon. Keeping my fingers crossed.
