Samsung Galaxy S6 prototype possibly photographed

Samsung Galaxy S6 prototype possibly photographed
While Samsung is already allowing us to take a look at one side of its Galaxy S6 Edge, the regular Galaxy S6 remains a mysterious device. However, the S6 may have been revealed today in some hands-on photos that reportedly show an AT&T-bound "prototype or test model."

Posted in a Galaxy S6 thread over at the XDA Developers forum, the new photos show what could be an S6 inside bubble wrap packaging. Update: more photos showed up, this time without wrapping (hooray!) - see them below.

We can see that the device has metallic sides, while the logo on its front, below the earpiece, is covered. There's a large front-facing camera on the upper right side of the phone (which makes sense, as the S6 is expected to have the same 5 MP front-facing shooter of the Note 4). The XDA user who posted these images says the handset "seems" to have a "glass back and front."

Samsung will finally unveil the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge this Sunday (March 1) at Mobile World Congress 2015. Both new smartphones should be released around the world - including in the US, via all major carriers - starting this spring.

Check out the photos below - do you think this is what the final version of the S6 will look like?

Update 2: it seems that this alleged Galaxy S6 prototype / test device has no microSD card slot. There's a protruding camera on the back, next to an LED flash and a heart rate sensor, while the top and bottom of the handset look a bit iPhone-ish.

It looks like "Meh". I hope it's not the real thing. I'll be really disappointed if project zero turn out like this.

Doubt it, there are speakers at the bottom of the phone on image 7. It doesn't seem like a very 'samsung' thing to do, using front facing speakers...

This is actually a very good move by Samsung to pull a fake one right before the launch. Good stuff.

Do I spy a front facing speaker on image 3? Could be a mic, but I'm rooting for speaker. Hate the lower back placement on my S5/S4.

I think the speaker is those holes in image 7 and the mic is that one hole next to that grille.

I call fake. Maybe its another phone or a knockoff. Obviously the packaging is open. Why wouldn't he take it out? If it doesn't make sense, then it is probably a lie.

I am pretty sure that's a clone or maybe even a very early clone of the S6. The tell-tale sign for me is the yellow led flash. Usually all clones have this flaw.

Basically all Samsungs have single LED flash.

Home button looks same as chubby one that has leaked again and again. Unfortunately I think the glass backed baster is the real deal

People People People, wait until Sunday, then you will know. I'm not taking any of these pics as truth. To me, this just looks like a Galaxy S5 knock off, nothing different in the design at all!!!! March 1ST will be here soon everyone..cheers!!!
