Rear image of highly spec'd Xiaomi Mi 5s leaks?
It was just a few days ago when we showed you a live image of the Xiaomi Mi 5s. That photo showed the front of the device, and today's leak completes the bookend effect by showing what is allegedly the back of the same model. While we were somewhat cynical about the legitimacy of the round home button seen on the picture of the phone's front panel, it just might have been done in connection with Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which will be found embedded under the screen.

A recent trip through AnTuTu revealed that the phone carries a 5.15-inch Force Touch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Driving the device is the Snapdragon 821 SoC carrying a quad-core 2.15GHz CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU. A previous leak told us to be on the lookout for two versions of the Mi 5s. One will have 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The other includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. A third model with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory has also been rumored.

A 16MP rear-camera offers an f/1.8 aperture and 4-axis OIS, and an 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights on is the 3490mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, and Android 6.0.1 is pre-installed.

Since a previously rumored September 14th unveiling date has come and gone with no unveiling of the Mi 5s, the next rumored date for an unveiling is September 24th.

Load of BS, when this phone will be released, it will be AT LEAST 500$, (not China prices) for that price you got S7, which is like 10x better.

Just like the front with the ugly round sensor zone this shot does look weird/ugly. Wait and see but it would be the first ugly phone I've seen them make.

I'd put large amounts of money on that circular button front being a fake. Wait and see for the official reveal.

I have mixed feelings about this new look. On the one hand, the higher clicked SoC (via underclocking) and the 16% bigger battery means better battery life and the F1.8 aperture means better lowlight, the original Mi 5 looks way better. If this thing has an improved camera, battery, and a decent price (less than 25% over the original Mi 5), I'll get it. If not, I'll just get the original Mi 5. It's win-win either way ;-)

Is the chicom soldier their mascot? still wear the same hat they did when they killed our troops in korea. Mao would have loved the little red star.
