Now official, the Samsung Galaxy A9 is unveiled in China
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is now official. Introduced in China, this is the new high-end model for the Galaxy A series. While pricing and availability are still unknown, we now have the final specs for the device. The Galaxy A9 comes with a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 652 SoC (formerly the Snapdragon 620), carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of internal memory.

Both the 13MP rear camera and the 8MP front-facing camera come with an aperture of f/1.9. The snapper in back also features OIS. Galaxy A9 users will find a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, and a dual SIM slot is offered. The 4000mAh battery will charge quickly, and the handset supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi,  Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+ and NFC connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 uses the same metal and glass build found on the other Galaxy A handsets. Color options are White, Gold and Pink.

Thanks for the tip!

2016 is going to be a great year for Smartphones. Chinese OEMs rising, LG rising, a good Snapdragon and midranges like A9.

ANT+[1] (pronounced ant plus) is a sub-system of the base ANT protocol (a proprietary wireless technology) designed and marketed by the ANT+ Alliance, a division of Dynastream Innovations Inc.[2] It encourages interoperability and open-access to data between manufacturers of "smartphones, bike computers, diagnostics, power meters, heart rate monitors, remote control systems, etc.

Along with 6inch screen, It also has a Samsung's latest generation of S-Amoled display, which will kill all battery benchmarks to date. Just wait for the battery test.

Qualcomm hasn't been the best with big.LITTLE so far, so I think this one will do above average in endurance (whereas it should do marvelously based on its spec sheet)

Nice looking phone. I like how the edges are rounded/beveled vs being flatten.

WOW! 8MP front facing camera? Amazing. I know that will take better pictures than any front facing camera on ANY smartphone including the 5MP on Samsung's own phone. Please bring that to the S and Note 2016.

more megapixels doesn't always equal a good picture quality. iPhones have low megapixel counts when it comes to front shooters, but they actually deliver when it comes to taking selfies.

Samsung's image processing algorithm is the best when it comes to smartphone photography! Apple's 1.2MP is garbage compared to to Samsung's 5MP selfie. And 8MP selfie will take it to another level.

You're kidding right!? The ffc on iPhone are terrible... Every time I see someone post something on social media I know when it's a front camera shot because it looks grainy and terrible

Nah. They actually deliver. They have nice detail although they usually put out warmer colors. And that's even with lower megapixel count.

Meanwhile HTC X9 will be probably carrying unknown crappy Mediatek SoC (Helio X10?) at tomorrow launch. RIP HTC

I could imagine that S7 would have a similar design language.

I could imagine that the S7 would have unsimilar battery life.

don't be so sure, i have a felling Samsung knows what was lacking with S6 , and S7 is coming with larger battery and microSD slot (thought i don't care for the latter).

This is a really good physical size for a 6 inch phone. Smaller in all dimensions than the Nexus 6.

very interested in this phone. I am sure once Krapple ipillow biter, John V. gets ahold of it, it will receive 6 or 7/10, since it doesn't have a cute little sheep fruit on it.

I like how they moved the back speaker nearly everyone complained about the previous A series. Really shows Samsung is willing to listen to their customers for once.
