Microsoft video aimed at developers, shows off live tiles, multitasking and more
With the Windows Phone Mango update about to bear fruit soon, the guys at Redmond want to show developers all of the exciting reasons why they should be writing code for Windows Phone Mango flavored handsets. So a video was produced and in 75 seconds, we are shown the things that Microsoft feels are advantageous to the code jockeys writing apps for online marketplaces. As Microsoft says in the video, "build easily, build better, build now with Windows Phone".

The video displays the live tiles that have become a trademark of sorts for the OS, and the fast switching between apps that makes multitasking quick and simple for Window Phone Mango users. The video also mentions connected apps and the Developer Tools that turn an idea into an app faster and easier with Windows Phone Mango, according to Microsoft. Although no stats were cited in the video, Microsoft calls the Windows Marketplace "the fastest growing marketplace". If true, we would expect to see things really take off if the Mango update does for the platform what Android 2.0 did for Google's open source OS.
