International version of Cortana now recommends places to eat and drink
Microsoft is slowly adding features to the international version of Cortana, as it tries to round out her capabilities in overseas markets. Now, the international version of Cortana can suggest eateries based on the type of food you want to eat, the price you are willing to spend, and the distance from your current location.

While those in the U.S. with a Windows Phone 8.1 powered device already have this feature, some European users have also been able to ask their virtual personal assistant to suggest a place to eat. Luckily for those using a Windows Phone 8.1 powered handset, Microsoft can add new capabilities to Cortana without having to push out a system-wide update.

So the next time you start feeling the pangs of hunger, you can turn right away to Cortana for a suggestion on where to dine. And for those families bringing along some rambunctious children, you can also ask Cortana to find restaurants that are "kid-friendly".

am i the only one that dont use these options on the phones? :( the goggle reservations thing, and the bus passes and airplane, and the places to go eat are no use for me. kinda feel sad... i want an option that i can actually use for my advantage

Exactly. In my job I hardly travel, so bus passes or airplane update parts are totally useless. Only the weather, sports news are actually helpful. And also I know my routes to office so turing on directions is also not required. Apart from that google now is not that much of help.

What's next? Cortana recommending who you should ask out to eat/drink? Where does the human being fit in this? Just giving data to the machine? The machines built by large corporations are slowly taking away humanity from humans. I guess this reflects the reality of the corporate controlled world we live in.
