Helio, the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) targeting young people, has revealed details, regarding its mobile game service that takes full advantage of the carrier's high-end phones - the Hero and Kickflip – set to be released with its U.S. launch this spring. The game service enables not only the connection of the users to the games, but also to other Helio members. Through technology, developed by SK Telekom, the service allows members to purchase and share their favorite games, ask another member to purchase a game for them as well as try any game at a lower price before deciding to buy it.

The user interface of the service provides customers with updates and more information about the games as well as independent game ratings and reviews on individual profile screens for each game, which can be seen by the users before purchasing a game. Furthermore, consumers have several custom tools at their disposal, such as animated previews of ingame footage for titles; free-of-charge “cheat codes” for already purchased games; a “wish-list” function for cataloging games for future purchase as well as a “download locker” for free re-downloading of already purchased games.

The Helio game library comprises 2D, 3D and multiplayer games, which are divided in eight major genres, including Puzzle, Casino, Arcade, Role Playing Games (RPG), Action, Shooters, Sports and Speed.
