HTC says something HUGE is coming - what could it be?
"Something HUGE is coming from HTC" - that's what HTC USA stated on Twitter today, obviously talking about its upcoming MWC 2015 press event that will take place on March 1.

While HTC already confirmed that a "new One" smartphone will be announced on March 1, it didn't provide more information on this. However, we're all expecting the company to unveil not one, but two new handsets at MWC: the One M9, and the One M9 Plus.

The details gathered until now suggest that neither the One M9, nor the One M9 Plus is literally huge. The regular One M9 is expected to sport a 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, while the One M9 Plus may not have a screen larger than 5.2 inches (with 1440 x 2560 pixels). Thus, perhaps HTC is using "huge" in the figurative sense here - after all, this will undoubtedly be a big announcement for the company. On the other hand, maybe the One M9 Plus is way larger than everyone is assuming. We'll just have to wait until March 1 to find out.

What do you think, is HTC using "huge" figuratively, or literally?

Something HUGE is coming from HTC. Imagine [ONE][PLUS or MAX] in space. And then [M] that by [9]. That means they are gonna have a HUGE announcement. 1. The One Max 2 or One M9 PLUS 2. One M9 !

Who cares about HTC at this point. They haven't really impressed anybody in my opinion with two or three phones hitting the market in a year. Unless they can really push something huge through; I see another flop coming.

yeah, because M7 and M8 were not impressing in any way right? wtf are you talking about, HTC is like only company that makes something interesting and actually nice looking

Sorry to break it to you but the M7/M8 were flops from a business perspective. Aluminum duds that didn't sell. The M9 won't change a thing either. The only ones who praise the M7/M8 are tech geeks who are HTC fanatics who love aluminum. Outside of that arena which is very small, HTC means nothing at all. Not everyone likes aluminum and I don't ride that "Premium" aluminum train either, I don't believe the HYPE. That is all it is. The HYPE train

The M8 was one of the most popular phones out last year, also one of the highest rated. I also love the "not everyone likes aluminum" comment, Surely not the people who bought 73 million iphone 6 and 6+ that apple sold in 1 quarter, No, No one likes aluminum phones. I wouldn't say thats hype, i'd say thats a statement. And no, I don't own a iphone.

U seriously comparing apple and htc? Thats like comparing google and yahoos, both search engines but google dominates. Ppl buy apple for the brand name not material. As an M8 user Im actually really disappointed at this phone they put out, barely any improvement from the M7( which is actually more user friendly due to its smaller bezel size). HTC should pay us to use the duo camera bs gimmick, my old nexus 4 gets better photo quality then this.

Please don't compare Apple with HTC. On that alone your point is debunked. Apple is entirely a different monster that people buy because it a fashion statement. HTC on the other hand no one buys! Or should I say, 1% buys. It was one of the most popular phones in the tech community which is very small it changes nothing. When HTC makes a quality product that's sells and makes money, then come holla at me.

While it wasn't my cup of tea, a *lot* of sites picked the M9 as their phone of the year. Same for the M7.

Lag phone of the year (they go with the old 810) or cheap cpu of the year (they co with the cheap China cpu) or out of business company of the year ( they go with the new designed 810 and get no sales as the s6 is out way before them) more like

If HTC thinks a 5.2" phone is big, then they have already lost this battle. Why not just have the M9 as this M9 Plus crap? HTC still doesn't get it I see. There will be huge disappointment come March 1st! The HTC fans will be happy but these phones will not raise any bars. The one the things I think people missed is: Where is OIS? I haven't even seen it listed or did I miss something? Maybe they left it out because they are short on funds!

Have you considered the possibility that perhaps the "HUGE" announcement isn't in reference to a phone but perhaps something else? A tablet with an Nvidia X1 perhaps? Or maybe something even bigger, a clown with basketball sized testicles... I mean that would be HUGE.

HTC making tablets! Huge fail. The Nexus 9 sucked hardware wise. Tablets is not their strong suit. Totally not nterested. Nvidia Sheild triumphs the HTC made tablet and for a cheaper price as a better overall product.

I say that the case this year last year they all had the 801, so go with what you like, this yesr it's going to be not the case, if you do not go Samsung this year the cpu will be lag/cheap/slow, that 810 is a load of crap even if they fix the problem, I think they may be going with the cheap China cpu craptech as the 810 is doa to may and if they not out befo the end of March they came over

I thought they were just saying the M9 is going to space. I've heard of some companies sending phones to space. Other than that, maybe it's a phablet. Either way, I WANT IT!

Imagine [ONE][MAX] in space. And then [M] that by [2]. Or it could be this. Something HUGE is coming from HTC. Imagine [ONE][MAX] in space. And then [M] that by [9].
