HTC says it is committed to Beats Audio for its mobile devices
HTC's $300 million investment in Beats by Dre has brought on branding advantages for both companies, and the reassuring Beats Audio sign on the back of HTC phones now means you are in for a better than average audio experience, provided that you plug in one of them expensive pairs of in-ear headphones.

With the dismissal of its outspoken CFO Winston Yung, speculation started that the Beats Audio partnership might start dwindling, as Mr Yung was one of its strongest backers and the person behind signing the deal. HTC, however, came up with an official statement on the matter by Peter Chou, dispelling all rumors:

Oh yeah, HTC, then why did you stop packaging the expensive Beats headphones with your new One series, HTC? We know, we know, you are going through some tough times these quarters, but it's good to know that Beats Audio is still to be an integral part of HTC's handsets.

Yeah, HTC is a fool to pay 300 million for a piece of equalization software + branding that doesn't make sense. It doesnt cost more than 20 dollars to make a pair of earpiece, yet it is retailing for over hundreds

Ive tested the beats audio tech in the one x with the beats headphones currently free in a special bundle offer with the handset from htc and both the phone and headphones music output are indeed impressive

This has to be my only gripe with the HTC One series, apart from the non user-replaceable battery and poor battery life. The reason why I opted out of buying the device. They said in their statement a few days ago that users do not buy Beats Audio branded smartphones for the fancy earphones. Hence justifying their stand. But when you're charging a premium for the smartphone, it shouldn't hurt to pack it with the device. Such a foolish statement that. I would much rather stick to something like a Razr Maxx or a Galaxy S III when made available. Also, Daniel, it's Winston Yung, not Yang. That's what his executive profile says anyways.

They should have included the beats headphones in their high-end offering at least.

not bundling the beats headphones is one of the reason why the one series are priced less, think positive

seriously, beats audio only suits pop,R&B,and rock. For other genres, you should look elsewhere. Sony can give you more bang for your buck!

I try beats audio for a root Evo 3D rom and in all honesty it work pretty will. My Sony XB500 on high without beat had distracted bass and the voice sound hollow, but with beats one that was not a problem. But my XB500 are good headphone to start out with. The beats deal was for the brand that everyone know about. And the music streaming that will come out. And it can't hurt because beats headphone still pretty good. Just look at your local college campus and you will see.
