HTC Desire confirmed for US Cellular - with the tease of another Android phone
Although Verizon customers will be getting the first taste of Android featuring the latest version of the Sense UI, US Cellular customers will have something to look forward to this summer with the HTC Desire. The news has been officially confirmed thanks to their Facebook page, but customers may want to consider holding out from buying it on launch day as there are some rumblings about another Android handset on the horizon. As stated on their Facebook page, “The worst kept secret in online history! HTC Desire with Android from U.S. Cellular, coming this summer after our rigorous testing is complete. Now have fun guessing which other Android phone we’ll launch.” The guess could be anything as to what it is, but it's nice to see that these high-end Android powered phones are branching out to other carriers other than the major players in the US.

I hate U.S. Cell I wish At&t or VZW would buy them out. I actually cant believe they are still in buisness. Maybe they're doing o.k. who knows.

US Cellular is a solid company in the Midwest and they're probably the only cell phone company not up to their eyeballs in debt. They've done things slowly for a reason. They may not always have the best phone selection but their customer service and phone service are great (Verizon has an agreement to piggyback off their towers). US Cellular getting the HTC Desire and the Samsung R880 speaks volumes for the company and hopefully will be the start of many great new phones to come. Also, US Cellular is slated to get the Blackberry Bold 9650 and their version of the LG Lotus Elite (rebranded as the Mystique). US Cellular is THE ONLY cell company that offers unlimited incoming calls.

If anything, the carrier is a really good value, and very customer friendly. Like you mentioned, they have free incoming calls, texts, and pics, they also have that great battery swap program (one of the most common complaints about cell phones I have run into is that the battery no longer holds a charge)

Finally! Intelligent and knowledgable posting. People that actually know what they are talking about! US Cellular also has an "Overage Protection Program" that is a free service they offer their customer's. With this program the account owner will receive a text message (free of charge) when they have reached 75% of the total minutes on their plan. Then another text at 100%. Another one of the many programs US Cellular offers as part of their "AWARD WINNING CUSTOMER SERVICE!" US Cellular's most important focus is for their RWC's (retail wireless consultants) to make sure they give each customer the "ICE" (Ideal Customer Experience), another trait US Cellular is very proud of!

Yeah, I bet VZW and AT$T would like to get rid of USCellular. It's the 6th largest carrier in the U.S.A, right behind Metro PCS. It's churn rate is 3rd lowest in the industry (1.6%, well above Sprint's and T-Mobile's 2.2+%, and right underneath VZW and AT$T). And in every major city where USCellular has a presence, it places either 1st or 2nd in best call quality network. Check out the USCell stock prices....they're among the best of the wireless industry.

AT&T and iphone must have a contract that states that the company's best phone must always be an iphone....lol - INCREDIBLY it is not what I DESIRE..... :-)

I doubt U.S cellular is getting the phone seeing as how it is a GSM phone. It's either AT&T( WHICH IS THE RUMOR) or TMobile. Either way, HTC will not make a phone of this magnitude and give it to a small company!

Sorry to bust your bubble but that is incorrect! I happen to know for a fact that phone is definitely going to go to US Cellular. As a matter of fact, in the very near future, so stay tuned!
