Discover cards finally make their way to Samsung Pay
When Samsung Pay was launched in 2015, a lot of card companies promised to support it in the near future. Among them was Discover, that said its cards will make their way to the platform by early 2016. Needless to say, they didn't.

However, the company has finally managed to make good on its promise, and Discover cardholders can now use their plastic with Samsung Pay. The support comes more than a year later than promised, but this is a good example of what “better late than never” means.

Samsung Pay is the only popular mobile payment system that employs both NFC, and MST technology. This allows it to have the edge over the competition, since not all retailers support NFC payments. The MST technology lets Samsung users use their mobile payment platform with regular credit and debit card readers, greatly improving their flexibility.

However, Samsung Pay is only available for the high-end smartphones of the same brand. However, it's expected that the feature will make its way to Samsung's mid-rangers in the near future.
