Check out these concept renders of the Apple iPhone 8

Ok, we just showed you the latest CAD design for the Apple iPhone 8, which suggests that the Touch ID feature will be embedded under the screen. As you might recall, even though the iPhone 8 is believed to carry a 5.8-inch OLED display, as much as .65-inch of the screen will be used for the embedded Touch ID. Just in case the technology is not feasible, Apple is reportedly working on a plan "B," which would have the Touch ID button positioned on the back of the phone.

Today, a series of concept renders has been published, revealing what this so-called function area could supposedly look like, and how it will work. We can see this area being used for anything from notifications, virtual controls, and more.

Remember that the renders found in the slideshow are based on a concept. But they are based on comments from analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo, who has an outstanding track record when it comes to forecasting future iPhone models. Thus, these images might have some basis in reality.

There is no camera on the screen how would you take a selfie or do face time. These renders are just not practical

every damn year we get tons of these over the top "concept iphones" and apple ends up releasing a phone based on a 4 year old design with less ports than before

I think it's funny all concepts have no button then it will be unveiled and still have the ugly button and apple tools will be like "the button is so much better. U need a button"

I can guarantee anyone the iPhone will look nothing like the renders. Apple will give something look and feels similar to the iPhone 7.

As long as Tim's parental controls and restrictions are on iOS I will never buy another Apple product. I'm an adult and can guide myself without compromising my data or security but I can understand that the majority of iOS users cant manage life in their own. Regardless it is interesting to see some innovation coming as its been lacking in iphone since iPhone 4.

Copying what others do is hardly innovation. But go with that, it will sound good to Apple's fans.

No it's not. Apple has more time to work out kinks since they have a later release. Samsung has a backup because they release more than one phone a year. If Samsung works out the kinks, the Note 8 will have it. Why is it such a big deal. They both are working on th3 same idea and both are having the same issue.

Sorry but that's a dumb concept. Where's the front facing camera, the light sensor, and proximity sensor? But there's a small grill for the speaker? The MI Mix proved you could eliminate the speaker.

something that came to my mind as well. Maybe Apple will surprise us or maybe this is just to ambitious for now

Dude, have you been under a rock. Everyone knows the camera, sensors and Touch ID are under the display. If you don't believe it, Look up the Apple patents. It's hard to deliver when you see real innovation!

Actually no one knows for sure. Keep spreading your filth.

Yes, I've seen the patents... but that's all they are. Just because Apple has a patent doesn't mean it's real.

Stop being such a stubborn loser. Having a patent doesn't mean making it possible or is easy...Sherlock dums!

Looks amazing but I think I like this one better

I like the overall look and almost full screen and round corners, but that speaker hole bugs the s**t out of me. Also it looks a lot like the SVPER concept phone.

Cant beat the S8 unfortunately.

Who cares, Apple will sell like cupcakes and people will be happy with it. It will be the best Apple has to offer and be better in some areas and perhaps worse in others. In the end people tend to stick to their OS/brand anyway.

OR....these concepts will stay concept and they'll release an iPhone 7 with vertical cameras which iFans will say is perfect and the press will once again call "completely different" than the last 3.

That would be beside the point. He said based off the render, the S8 looks better. The render is all screen. That's what people been wanting for years. The S8 has 9mm bezels at the top and bottom and the camera and sensors are visible. How can anyone but a blind fanboy would say the S8 looks better than the renders. It kind of like when a guy likes a girl and the girl turns him down and then he says he did t like her anyway lol! He's just bu**hurt!! Lol!

Sorry but the renders aren't all screen. There's a bezel all around a few mm's wide. The S8 may have more bezel top and below, this render has more bezel on the sides. This concept below is all screen, not the one in this article.

ee are talking about a forged and chin. This thing is all screen dude. The 4mm around the phone is not all bezel by the way. It's 4mm from the arc of the side to the screen. A little bezel on the side is mandatory. Even the S8 has it on the side. It's just a bit hard to see because of the curve. Even the xoami Mi mix has bezels albeit tiny. Also, it has a huge bezel at the bottom!

Yeah, u have a point there as i was thinking thesame thing myself. The fact that theres a 2.5mm bezel everywhere on the screen makes it more polished, neat, symmetrical and just oozes class. The ip8 is actually all screen as those tiny bezels on the edges are a must. Even the s8 and mi mix has them except they arent symmetrical/with the whole display.
