BlackBerry Super App will actually beautify the native app UI?
Most will argue that the native home screen UI on BlackBerry smartphones may look a bit dated compared to some of the eye catching visuals featured on other platforms. Now it's unclear whether or not this is an actual application or if it's something RIM is working on, but the BlackBerry Super App aims to give the platform some much needed eye candy to its usual mundane looking interface. It appears that the BlackBerry Super App seems to be some kind of home screen that's showcasing a handful of useful information that really looks to be a departure from what we normally see. Based on the sole screenshot, it can't be verified if it is a BlackBerry application – but despite all of that, it may soon signal the birth of some nice looking applications out of RIM. After holding a webinar to show developers the potentials of the BlackBerry Super App, RIM will really need to verify that the tools used in the creation of it will be made available to them. If they really can pull this out and get this integrated into future apps, the BlackBerry platform may become a formidable force in the app market.

Just to make this clear... is this a GUI Theme for the blackberry devices to replace their boring interface since 4.1 phones? Or is this just the UI for the new Blackberry App World? The name Blackberry Super App, leads me to believe this is just a program that you run on the phone, rather than a theme that replaces the typical Blackberry UI. Or is this something like HTC's Sense UI that overlays WinMo and Android, or Samsung's TouchWIZ? Maybe I am reading too much into this.

The super app, is an application that will be available in the app store that will allow the end users to customize the UI and make there own theme/UI they way they want it to look. It's been in beta testing for awhile. You can literally make the UI the way you want it to look. So it could look almost nothing like the standard one. It's really neat, you have to play with it to get the just of what it is. It's not the easiest thing to describe without actually using it.
