BlackBerry Classic specs leak, along with new images
The latest specs for the BlackBerry Classic have been outed. The device is equipped with some old-school features such as a trackpad, and function keys. A traditional BlackBerry physical keyboard is on board. Originally named the BlackBerry Q20, CEO John Chen decided to capitalize on demand for legacy models like the BlackBerry Bold 9900. In last year's third quarter, of the 4.3 million units sold by BlackBerry, 3.2 million units were BlackBerry OS 7 models.

As far as specs are concerned, the BlackBerry Classic features a 3.46 inch square screen with resolution of 720 x 720. Speaking of old school, under the hood is a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon MSM8960 (S4 Plus) CPU with 2GB of RAM inside. 16GB of native storage is included, and for those requiring more storage, a 128GB microSD slot is on board. An 8MP rear-facing camera is featured, with an aperture of f/2.2. The camera that adorns the front is 2MP. A 2515mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The BlackBerry Classic is expected to be unveiled next month, and go on sale in time to capitalize on the holiday shopping season. With the BlackBerry Passport available for the business focused power user, the Classic will be aimed at long time 'Berry users who miss the functionality of older models, but want to have BlackBerry 10 powering their handset.
