Asus Transformer Prime release date scheduled for December 16, says Amazon
The Asus Transformer Prime has been up for pre-order on Amazon since yesterday, and anyone who wants to be among the first to grab a piece of the hot, shiny tablet can reserve one for themselves. There is one bit of information missing, however – the tablet's release date, but thanks to a tipster of ours, we now seem to have that piece of the puzzle.

While chatting with an Amazon representative, our loyal reader was told that the Asus Transformer Prime is scheduled for release on December 16. And that is no rumor or anything, below is a screenshot that backs up the story.

For those of you who are not quite sure what the Asus Transformer Prime is, we are dealing with a pretty high spec'd tablet here. It comes with a 10.1-inch Super IPS+ display with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels, and an 8-megapixel f/2.4 camera. But the most exciting thing about the Transformer Prime is that it is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core chip, the awesome performance capabilities of which we are already familiar with.

So, if you have your mind set on a new, shiny Asus Transformer Prime, you will likely have to wait until at least December 16 before you get to take it for a spin. Has anyone already pre-ordered theirs?

Thanks, Sagar!

actually Samsung has nothing to do with releasing the Nexus...if you want to know who's holding it up as they usually are holding things and US up...talk to Verizon

Yup Even on Gamestop it says Release Date 9th Dec. Think Amazon Put on a week as a safety precaution if it gets delayed.
