Apple posts new video tutorial showing you how to use Apple Pay on the iPhone X

When Apple unveiled its tenth anniversary model in September, it was obvious that certain features would require some tweaking due to the replacement of Touch ID with Face ID. One of those features is Apple Pay. With other iPhone models that are compatible with Apple Pay, using the mobile payment service requires a press of the Touch ID button to verify the identity of the person making the payment. With the iPhone X, verifying the user's identity is done with Face ID.

To show iPhone X owners how this is done, Apple has released a 41 second video titled "Apple Pay-How to pay with Face ID on the Apple iPhone X." When you're ready to use Apple Pay at the register, just double click the side button on your iPhone X. You'll see the Face ID logo appear. Stare at the screen the very same way you do to unlock the device. Once your identity is verified, hold the top of your iPhone X near the credit card reader screen, and you'll hear the familiar tone telling you that the transaction has been completed.

Please send Samsung a email suggesting that. Because their latest commercial with the guy switching, speaks volumes

I actually think that the end of the commercial where they list the steps make it seem a lot more complicated than it really is. It makes it seem like there is 5 steps to pay vs the one step of "swipe card" that people are used to.

Its actually 4 steps to use Apple Pay. Samsung Pay requires 3 steps if you use it with Iris Scanner. 1 - Swipe card up from bottom of screen 2 - Scan the Iris 3 - Place phone to reader. Takes to long. Samsung Pay with FPS, is 2 step. Swipe up card, hit the FPS...Done. Samsung Pay with Gear S3 is 3 Steps. Hold the top Button, input pin, pick a card and then hold to reader. I usually just get it ready as I walk in so all I have to do is press Pay. Samsung Pay is better because it works in places where NFC isn't available.

Apple Pay lacks MST and it pretty much puts Samsung Pay ahead of the game. Some places I take my phone out and customer service tell me "no phone will work here", bitch please > swipe up > FP > pay Guy thinks it's magic lol.
