24ct gold HTC One M9 commemorates the UEFA Champions League Final

In a week that has seen The Beautiful Game shrouded in controversy and accusations of corruption, many soccer / football fans will surely turn their attention away from the FIFA scandal for the weekend to instead focus on the UEFA Champions League Final. HTC is certainly excited for what is the biggest showpiece in European club football, if not world club football, and to mark the occasion, has begun showing off a glorious-looking 24ct gold edition of its flagship One M9

Ever since the company launched the unibody One M7 back in 2013, HTC's flagships have continued to deliver premium build quality. But even though the latest HTC One M9 is very pleasing on the eye, those with a liking for precious metals will surely prefer the limited edition 24ct gold variant, which features engraving specific to the Champions League Final being played this Saturday between Barcelona and Juventus.

With HTC having simply posted the above image on Facebook, there's no word on when, where, or for how much one can pick up this very shiny golden handset. What we do know, however, is that there won't be many, and given how much gold appears to be present, it certainly won't be cheap.

Still, if you're the type to fork out for an Apple Watch Edition, then this could be the perfect match, although you'll still need an iPhone if you want to get full use out of the wearable!
